  What happens if the sun burns out? __________________________________ The sun keeps us warm and provides light. The earth and our sun are the perfect distance apart. If the earth came closer to the sun we would burn and if it went farther away we would freeze. This is what would happen if the distance between the sun and the earth changed. When the sun burns out it would be freezing and it would be equivalent to the coldest winter day but 3 times as cold. Not just in the winter, even in the summer. What am I talking about? There would be no seasons because the earth would always be cold. By a year it would be completely dark and it would be impossible to live above ground. Actually you could just about live underground. But where would your food grow?  It would be impossible to grow food and feed animals to eat. You could eat canned food but it would eventually run out. Unless there are animals that live underground, and can survive without sunlight. Although if you are real...

  Introduction For centuries humans have experienced wildfires.They have used wildfires for agriculture and to maintain vegetation, but they have also seen wildfires tear down forests and civilizations. Wildfires are unique. Most wildfires are good because they maintain wildlife, but they have gotten out of control recently. From 1983 to 2012 no fire season averaged above 2 million hectares burned. However from 2013 to 2022 they increased to an average of just below 3 million hectares. Then in 2023 the Canada wildfires blazed out of control, burning around 4 million 750 thousand hectares.
